Liability Trial Verdict in Marion County
ABD Partner, Michael Merrill, and Associate, Yolanda Martinez, obtained a favorable trial result in an admitted liability case in Marion County this week. The case involved a backing motor vehicle accident. At the time of the accident, Plaintiff was parked in her driveway when her vehicle was pushed through the front gate. Plaintiff's treatment included pain management as well as a surgical repair of her neck and left shoulder. Defendants disputed the nature and extent of Plaintiff's injuries following the accident. The jury deliberated for a little over an hour before awarding a fraction of what Plaintiff asked for in closing arguments. Needless to say, the clients and carrier were thrilled with the outcome of the trial.
